Hi all, A couple of days ago Firefighter was contacted by a new forum member, Eatzantz, about a 12 foot van that she has recently bought, brand and origins unknown. Firefighter has asked me to help Eatzantz out with a post. Eatzantz has provided the following photos: Eatzantz would like to know who the manufacturer is. Can anybody throw any light on it? My first response was that it may have been built in the 70's based on its shape. However, Eatzantz has shown me a South Australian electricity inspection certificate dated December 1968. So that indicates that it's both 'vintage' and probably built in South Australia. Eatzantz has purchased the van to live in but feels that it should be refurbished and looked after. If there is someone out there who is interested in doing that, she may possibly be open to discussing that further. It should be noted that a leaf in one of the springs is broken, presumably explaining the lean to the near side. Anyway let's see if anybody can tell Eatzantz the origins of the van. Don Ricardo (Note: This post has been edited since first being posted earlier today, specifically in relation to the build date and Eatzantz's intentions regarding the van.)

Hello I am the one with this caravan. Just to let know it has a annex with it also which clips in not slides in. A question, anyone know when the slide things came in for annex's? Also the springs have been taken off. To save having to get a engineers report I am getting the springs made up to 40 mm width, so they will just fit on. Only one spring is broken, 8 leaf, I have asked for the return of both springs in case someone might want them. So far this keeps it original, not sure I will keep doing that though. It has been changed I see over time. The back bed used to slide back to a couch, but not any more. I think the front one might have turned into a bed also. The draws are so lovely, having spring loaded ball things which clip in to hold the draws in. I love how the top wood on the hotplates is meant to slide open to give you more bench space. Though many things have been changed over time, it would of been fantastic to know how she operated when new.
