G'Day All I am after some assistance if I may. I have taken the leap and purchased what I believe is a vintage caravan. I am looking at undertaking a slow restoration over the next two years or so. I have been led to believe that it is a bondwood Carapark / Cararest possibly late 60's? Any assistance anyone could provide in helping me identify would be greatly appreciated. G'day Reddave, Congratulations on taking the leap and welcome to the forum. Kingswood308 is correct. Your caravan is a Globe Trotter built in South Australia, 1963-ish maybe. You'll find more info and photos of vans similar to yours in the Down History Lane thread on Globe caravans. You can find it by clicking on this link. Don Ricardo

G'Day Don and Kingswood308
Many many thanks - I have been searching for the last two weeks - Should have just joined this forum first.
Looking forward (with some trepidation) to the reno - and especially happy as there is so much information available here which should make the job that much easier.

Dave, are the rims 4 stud and 13 inch ?
If they are then they will be off a 1961 - 1965 Ford sedan not ute or PV as they were a 5 stud.
Just encase you need a spare or hubcaps down the track.
Cheers.

welcome aboard reddave. You will find that there is a huge amount of info here on the forum if not just ask and someone will pipe up and give some advise. Looks like a nice van you got there.
One thing we all love here is photos, inside out and under, especially while you are doing the resto.
So look forward to following the progress.

Looks just like my globey Gold Coaster from mid 60's which had 13" holden wheels and I had the hubs red rilled to suit 14" Valiant rims. I had a new annexe made for mine and still have the old one if you are interested. It is in useable condition with a tear in the front wall near the van. PM me
