Hi Stephen,
That's a second series , between 1961 & 1965.
They had the aluminium side window framing, the raised ribs at the wheel well & under side windows, that particular wheel well opening, & I think most of them had the quilted fabric headlining.
The chassis number was stamped into the top tube of the chassis, on the LHS, behind the tow hitch. It can be very hard to find as they didn't stamp them in very hard I believe. Most vans I've seen it is impossible to identify by chassis number, but some are decipherable.
How many vans can one bear bear???

hi,stephen& julie van looks very original to me sink ,cupboards, shelving, switches, light etc. rims look to be 14 inch holden,so i think axle is the only change...dont give up till you find the chassis number but my guess is you have another 1963 caravan in your stable, remove mirror on cupboard front to see original owners name & colour scheme written on ply backing, if quilted hood lining doesnt clean up its possible to paint .. hope to see more pics of van once the barn has been dismatled,,, great find.

Hi Stephen,
Sorry to disagree with Suzanna, but I don't think those wheels are 14" Holden. They appear to be FE to HR 13" wheels, like fitted from the factory.
