I have booked site #49. Be aware that site 46 is NOT huge, there is a large pine tree at the end of it - thus NO site #47. You can see most of the sites in the pictures Aquamum posted. See you there! Sue

Sites 140 to 157 are the only spots where pets are allowed. At the opposite end of the park. I think the leppers get full use humpty!

hi sandra i thought i'd give this event a bit of a bump and also mention that unfortunately, we won't be able to attend it. we've already contracted ourselves with a weekend of babysitting duties while the "kids" go off on a quiet weekend. we could try taking three under 5's with us to blacksmiths but i don't think it would be very relaxing for us or the rest of the campers. geoff 'n jude

RE: BLACKSMITHS BEACH - 20-22 February 2015. What has happened to the Newcastle / Hunter Valley / Central Coast VCers! Too much happening on all the time I guess.

We have an action packed weekend planned, based at Blacksmiths Beach van park! Holden club car run to Maitland on Saturday, BBQ & tour of Grossman House; Lost in the 50s viewing on Sunday – the greatest collection of Americana on display outside the USA. There is at least one vintage caravan on display – we will check its origin. To date we have only catered for those who have booked.

I wanted so badly to be there Aquamum.
Two things stopped me 1. My Gypsy is in at G & L having rear windows replaced. 2. Our car club is having a breakfast run on Sun starting with a BBQ breakfast at my place.

hi sandra and sue
good to see you settled in alright.
if you're looking for a good healthy breakfast, the pie shop at the end of the shopping centre in gommera st makes the best pie with mushy peas and mashed potato in australia.
one or two of them for breakfast, washed down with a carton of chocolate milk, will give you the energy you'll need to get through the activities you've planned for the days ahead. (they're low gi you know).
we wish we were there (i can taste the pies as i write), but sadly we're not.

I want you both to behave like gentlemen !!

Coincidently I live near Camden, and having tasted the pies from both these pie shops... well, one is a pie shop. the other is a 'Patisserie' with expertise in much more than just pies, I can confirm that the Camden 'Cafe Creme Della Creme Continental Patisserie ' indeed makes pies that are exquisite. Any unbiased person who has tasted one of these pies cries out for more. Just in case anybody might think I exaggerate I submit unsolicited opinions expressed by people on these respected review sites. WOMO Word of Mouth Online And the HIGHLY respected Trip Adviser site You should try both for yourself... blow the diet Cobber.

To finish off our weekend away to Blacksmiths Beach, Susieq organised a visit to the Lost in the 50's Museum near Newcastle. Group shot Vintage USA caravan called a Shasta – usually they have “wings” attached to the back of each side Shasta Dinette The Mystery trailer – is a pop top of some kind – I think it has Customline tail lights ? I have about 100 other photos the cars etc if anyone wants them PM me.

Hi Sandra,
Sorry we couldn't stop on our way home, but bad weather controls a lot of things.
Good to see Reddo & Trish out on their bikes together.
that museum collection is unbelievable to lovers of USA vehicles like me. I didn't know it existed.
The mystery poptop lights are australian 1954 Ford Customline I believe, so you were right.
Thanks for the pix
