G'day Arrow,
Welcome to the forum and congratulations on the acquisition of your Arrow.
As Rattles has suggested with his pictorial hint, without the original drawbar and the original Viscount serial number, the only thing we have to go on is the design of the van. So we can't really tell you much until we see some photos. There's info on how to post photos in the 'Forum Guidelines & Helpful Hints' section of the forum. By the same token you may find some information about the Arrow model if you look at the Viscount thread in the 'Down History Lane' section - just find Viscount on the section index thread and go from there.
Regarding insurance, there's been quite a bit of discussion over the years, and the answer is not necessarily a straight forward one. The best idea is to click on 'Search' on the forum menu above, and then search for 'insurance'. There will be a whole stack of posts and threads for you to read. The problem is that various forum members have been able to insure their vans with one company or another, while other members have been refused. Fortunately there are a few companies you can try, but as I said do a search and you'll learn more.

G'day arrow, A Franklin chassis number of V1218 is a 1974 number. If you go to our "Classic Caravans" sister forum for caravans built in the 1970s, you'll find plenty of information about the Arrow models. Join up over there and they'll help you with any other questions. cheers, Al.

Well, there you go Arrow! Who needs photos when Franklin1 is on the job? Very nicely done F1! So, Arrow, it looks as if either you do have the original A-frame or whoever changed over the A-frame had the good sense to transfer the vans serial number to the new frame. If the latter is the case, they've certainly demonstrated more wisdom than some others. Congratulations on the purchase of your Classic Caravan! We trust that you have many happy excursions with it.
