I have recently installed a new plywood ceiling to my 66 Viscount Ambassador (aluminium frame) van. I have commenced to tidy the joints by using Parfix multipurpose filler but the container suggests using Parfix Gap Filler (Acrylic gap sealant) which is more suitable for repairs where movement occurs. I have almost completed the whole ceiling but am after any advice as to how much actual movement would occur internally in this aluminium framed vehicle? My concern is that eventually when I get it on the road that cracking might occur in the actual filler due to road movement etc. Thanks in advance. Regards, Bob.

I use Gap filler sealant and don't have any problems because it flexes and will take movement and jumping up and down

Okay, thanks Gilbert. But can you foresee any problems if I stayed with the multi-purpose filler which will also be covered by a few coats of high quality paint? Regards, Bob.
