G'day Christopherb, There's some information on Viscount Ambassador's in the 'Down History Lane' section - you can find the Ambassador thread by clicking here. Maybe you've already found that? I'm not sure if you know the build date of your van, but if you compare the serial number and the design of your van (including the flash on the side which is often the most accurate guide to age) it will give you an idea of when it was built. Based on the serial number by itself I would guess 1967 or 1968. For what it's worth, the advertised weight of the 18ft 6 in Ambassador in both 1967 and 1969 was 19.5 cwt or about 990 kgs. As I understand it, that's the tare weight of your van, ie unladen weight. To get the gross trailer weight, you'll probably need to hitch up the van and take it to a weighbridge. Don Ricardo
