Hi Deeva, Plenty of people toured Australia in their bondwoods back in the day. And quite a few vintage vanners from the forum have also done extensive tours in their bondwoods. If you want some inspiration try clicking on this link and this one. There's no reason why you can't take a bondwood on a good long trip. The problem arises when they are subject to continuous damp over a long period, and the paint protecting the bondwood has begun to crack and deteriorate, which allows water into the woodwork and results in rot. That's why it doesn't work to store a bondwood in the open long term without any protection. Good luck with your decision making about a van. Hopefully the caravan of your dreams will soon appear, or maybe it is one of the ones you've already seen. Don Ricardo
