we have a sunliner van that we have owned for a couple of years & we would like to start the restoration our problem is that the van has obviously been out in the weather for many years which has taken its toll on the roof there are no holes but the external coating has gone I have sanded some of it & it comes up nice & smooth but I don't know what needs to be done from here any help would be appreciated Attachment Deleted

Depends on how technical you want to be. I have found in the past 3 sunnys all you do once you have it smooth ,paint it with Dulux gloss enamel with a fine knap roller on a hot day and it comes up good as a spray job without any hassle and it's easy to repair if you scratch it. Too easy. Don't get all carried away with special paints that cost a fortune, paint and enjoy now, use the thousands you would have spent on a pro paint job on petrol or grog, trust me no one will know the diff.
