hi Mark & Atog, the retrieval was a night mare.had to remove rubbish from all around it,it was buried up to axles with flat tyres. the new alternator failed and had to jump start the pickup three times while removing a fence and getting the van bogged which bogged the pickup. finally got to Pottys place and got a bit of charge in the battery.its been raining all time.we got 10 km into the 60 km trip when the battery failed again, managed to get a new battery and got all the way home.the interior is putrid with all the ladies belonging still in it from when she died 14 years ago. but wot do expect when you pay $100. for a great looking caravan.i will put up some more photos when photo bucket wants to play. tucky

Hi Bob Mate, the 1972 Model my parents had built had a single bed in the very front of a 21' stardust as a seperate room. Not sure if the bed/beds in the back were two singles or a double.... I suspect they were singles.. Just saying. Atog

Hi Tucky Have you had a look into Polycore honeycomb? www.polycore-australia.com.au/#They sell a product that is already sheeted and it will never rot. polycorecomposites.com/Polycore-Preglassed-Panels.phpIf I was going to do another van, it would be a serious consideration. That is if I was keeping it.... that stuff isn't cheap (or so I've been told) You could hide your water tanks (with baffles) in the floor space. That would require making sure it was balanced as well. The floor being shot is a bonus, now you get to put in all the things they didn't do originally. You've got an exciting project underway... power to you mate. Atog
