Here in Qld its the same as the above posts only worse, if it is a club event you have to travel in the nearest line to & from the event, no sidetracking. May be a bit late but perhaps your club president could sanction the Nationals as an optional club event?

As it turns out Sam is in Qld. and the car is on 'Special Interest Vehicle' rego via the car club, so Mustang and the general are on the money. It would appear that although the terminology may differ from state to state the rules are pretty much the same, although the interpretation of the rules may vary from club to club, even from club president to club president. Just ONE of the great things about car clubs VC Com is NOT a club but you have been invited to attend SWR Sam, so I'd take a copy of that post by firefighter ( or was it Don R ) to your club and see how you go Cobber.

Tassie representative fully booked on spirit of tasmania $1402 return (no need to sell kids for medical research to fund the trip) Was originally looking at around $2400 many of the crossings fully booked out !! you will recognise the van when I arrive at Cowra
bring it on !! Murray Thought I should contact the Spirit office and let them know the drawbar had been lengthened . Originally down for 10.33 metres. Told them roughly an extra metre in length was added .Then was informed that over 11 metres the payment would have been an extra $165 and I could be accommodated . Said I would check and phone back. Quickly went out and remeasured it then to 10.9 metres (truly ) ,phoned back 5 minutes later and was told as Good Friday is a high demand time they said they couldn't accommodate me and they needed to check if that was okay Sweated it out for a few minutes till they approved. Consequently have taken the vinyl wrap off the van. Have screwdriver ready to take off towel rail at back, if they get laser out . At least I don't have bullbar as would have needed a grinder. A trap for young players - should have told them to get a longer ship ...........easily sorted See you all at SWR .....all 10.9 metres of me cheers Murray & Raelee

In qld if going to a special interest event anywhere in Aust and you can prove that the event does exist even if on the way there a week or so before all would be good. If you get pulled up just explain. Difficult to get an infringement notice to be upheld in front of a magistrate. Interstate authorities will honour Qld rules. It is all about how you go about things. Graham
