Howdy Mark T, after attending my first Nats at Broken Hill, and thoroughly enjoying it (apart from my only 2 full days being pre-occupied with Fairlane repairs), l would like to register my interest in attending Hat Head at a powered site. 2 adults, no animals. The ZB towed my Valiant Alumvan with ease, apart from a shaky 45seconds or so when overtaking a 25 metre b-double at 100kph+. May have to have a look at those new-fangled anti-sway bar thingys. But then l couldnt call it white-knuckle caravanning, could l??? h haa. Cheers-Pete. aeroliteej.

We would love to go. Count us in for the week please. This is the "kick in the ass" I need to get the EH ready! This time, my family will come with me, - they missed out on Broken Hill - 2 adults, 2 children (dog stays home). And when I see you there Mark, I have a present for you! (hint: matches canvas on joker 2 ) Robert.

Hi Everyone, Kel & I have just returned from a trip up the coast, & after reading in our Time to Roam magazine that the 2016 Nationals would be held at South West Rocks decided to call in & check the place out.First & formost the Staff I met were Lovely,Happy & Friendly & vey helpful. The Park is beautiful, amenities fresh & clean, pool area beautiful, games room quite large, camp kitchen adequate & the sites lush green grass with either shade cloth or concrete pads & only a 15 minute leisurely walk to town. All in all a great place.Congratulations to the organisers,so roll on 2016 Nationals. Till then Happy & Safe Travels to everyone Kel & Gai."fuzzyfuso" (Sunliners Rule).

hi all
there seems to be some confusion about where the next nationals are being held in 2016.
most people i've spoken to seem to think/agree that the venue has been changed to south west rocks but after looking through the thread, i get the impression that hat head is still the venue at this stage.
one post says that time to roam has listed 2016 as south west rocks but the following thread asks to be booked in to hat head.
what's the go administrators, hat head or south west rocks.
if we've officially changed to south west rocks, please modify the introductory thread so we're all on the same page.
if we haven't changed the venue, could you please post a clarification notice.

Our trip to SWR was to have discussions with the caravan park, and the local council to rustle up town support for the event. Due to the many comments and responses we had previously, Hat Head is off the agenda, it's now just a matter of us finalising arrangements with the SWR caravan park. Do you want to volunteer Mark

Hi All I think the SWR tourist Park would be a great venue for the Nats. A few of us spoke to the Owner and his Manager and inspected the park as a possible venue when we held Christmas in July in SWR. In my view and others this park has all we need, 140 odd sites, a dog friendly and a no dog area, under cover communal area with surrounding deck area leading onto the pool. We found the owner and manager only too happy to meet some of our requests, and the event could be coordiated with a w/e market day, plus open the park up to the public via a back gate from the boat ramp area on the same day as the markets whilst people were in the area. A few weeks ago SWR was chosen to hold Destination Tourism and the Hospitality Industry awards evening, so there must be a suitable venue for our dinner night. SWR has all the facilities, including a vintage theatre. So I think all would find the area very enjoyable and central to all facilities. I have a problem having said all the above, I have to be fit enough to attend, so heres hoping the bloke up above takes care of me. I would suggest if you have any comments about SWR, for or against place them on here so when Mark T visits to inspect he will have your comments to guide him when speaking to Management. Cheers boblor
