hi all just had a look at tomwaterhouse . com and they're offerings for shellharbour for the next week or so are $15.50 for sunshine, $10.25 for cloudy and dry, $2.25 for rain and $0.75 for rain and wind. get your bets in early and you might make enough to pay for a counter lunch at the pub (if you throw in a couple of extra dollars). see y'all there. geoff 'n jude

Geoff n Jude Do you know if the Camp Kitchen is finished? Sandra hi sandra no, unfortunately the camp kitchen isn't finished yet but they have given us a free site from thurs-sat and will also give us a 3m x 3m gazebo as well, plus colin's bringing his 3 x 3 to put up and we're bringing our 3 x 3 to put up, so we'll have a place to meet for 5sies etc, etc. (that won't make a 9 x 9 but we can have a straight 9 x 3 or an L shaped 6 x 6 x 3 or a T shaped 6 x 6 minus a 1 1/2 x 3 each side or if anybody else brings something along we can have some other weird combination). don't worry though, it'll all be ok on the day (maybe). geoff 'n jude

Another great event at a great location, Shellharbour. A vote was taken at the Saturday 'happy hour' on the suggestion that next years Vintage Caravans. com October gathering be held at Shellharbour in leu of our traditional location at Coledale. The unanimous vote (I think) by all those present was....... YES So after nine years at good old Coledale and all the fond memories it gave us we will be creating fresh memories at Shellharbour.... powered sites for everybody, beaut amenities block for everybody, three fish and chip shops close by.....what more could we ask for ? The weather ? ........... It doesn't matter when the company's good On Saturday AND Sunday a photographer roamed around taking photos to submit to 'A Time To Roam' Magazine so... keep an eye out, we may get a mention in a future edition Just a few photos from me to get the ball rolling Cobber.

Judy and I enjoyed ourselves at Shellharbour and look forward to doing it all again next year. Thank you Geoff and Jude for taking the time to find the location and pull it all together. Cobber, thank you for the photos but you neglected to pass on the most important information.........what about that terrific ice cream shop within walking distance??? Fortunately I have a photo from one of my visits to check the quality of the ice cream on offer:)) I can report that the New York Chocolate with chocolate pieces is excellent Sometimes I feel compelled to finish a job when I start so I can also report that most of the other flavours are also excellent. Anne and I would like to add our thanks to Jeff and Jude for organising the event, and I also support Ken's recommendations on the ice-cream shop. Plus the Fish and Chippery was excellent. The pub was a bit slow but the food was of good quality. We know how much work goes into organising an event like this and we appreciate the effort. Many many thanks for all your efforts. Well done Michael and Anne.

Just back from a great week away at Shell Harbour and looking forward to next year there. No photos....as they have all been covered....but a little story of adventure? Some of you may have seen the little red Country Club in the photos and been wondering who owned it......ME! You may also notice that the tow vehicle looks like a hired ute.....very observant of you. Well.....on our trip down we decided to leave a day early and overnight at Appin before leisurely driving down to Shell Harbour the next day, but as the Scottish say, the best made plans "oft gwin awry". I did notice a puff of white smoke and a reluctance to change into top gear from the automatic trans as I tried to match traffic speed at Casula......however the next morning at Appin, I only had 1st gear and nothing else @&^$#*^!!! A good Samaritan offered to tow the van down to Shell Harbour and I accompanied my 'new' car back on the tilt-tray to Campbelltown. Got a call yesterday from him..."box is completely bu#$%%^^ed, and could cost a couple of thousand"...BTW its a BW35. At least I'll have a near new gearbox! My car.....and no I haven't got any photos yet! is a 1956 Ford Country Sedan (read Ford Customline 8 seater station wagon)....made RHD in Canada specially for the Snowy Mountains Scheme. The colour matches the Country Club van ie red and white. When I get it home I will take photos. But we didn't let that spoil a great week away Thanks Geoff & Jude

Hi Brendo & Stacey, We hopefully will get there next year. A few years back, a bunch of us from SE Qld travelled down in group, along with Daggsey & carrots; Loveshack( Dave & Pat) from WA, who happened to be up here at the time.We had a ball on the trip. I bet Earlee still remembers staying at Lake Cathie. The girls gave him a bit of grief. I know we all had a great time travelling, as well as at Coledale. Because its so far from up here to Shellharbour, maybe a few of us could travel down & back together next year, & make the most of the fun travelling in a group. A leisurely 2 or 3 days each way would be great. Sort of a mini tour. Sure would beat doing nothing. Lets try to get enjoyable trips happening again, like we used to do. JBJ & Boots
