BLUE HORIZON CARAVANSNepean Highway, Cheltenham, Vic Blue Horizon caravans were built by various manufacturers and sold under the Blue Horizon brand name.
Comment by Hughdeani on 30 March 2009 in relation to a Glenlee caravan: Hi Steve, Your van is a Roma. They made vans for Blue Horizon, Glenlee, Pedigree, and probably a few others that I have forgotten about!... 12 ft Blue Horizon caravan advertised on Gumtree, June 2014:One of the owners of this van obviously had a great love of wallpaper! Note the polished veneer rather than painted cupboard doors, etc. I don't believe that this particular model Blue Horizon was built by Roma. Don Ricardo

Hi all, Blue Horizon is a caravan brand that we know very little about at this stage, apart from Hughdeani's comment (see above) that some vans were built for Blue Horizon by Roma. Given that Roma was based in Victoria, that suggests that Blue Horizon may also have been based in Victoira, but we don't even know that for sure. The following Blue Horizon van was advertised on Ebuy in May 2014. The Blue Horizon logo can be seen (just) above the front window in the first photo: I think this van is probably from the 70's. Hughdeani will probably be able to tell us, but I've posted the pics because I think it shows that Blue Horizon was around for a while. Don Ricardo

Hi Hughdeani,
Thanks for that extra info about Blue Horizon.
Do you know where they were located? Melbourne somewhere?
I presume they weren't just second hand dealers that put their stickers on every van that went through their yard like Doug Thorley, but that they had their own marque?
