Hi All As some of you know I work away a lot and I’m off again this time down to central coast NSW so I’ve bought myself another home away from home a 20’ Viscount Ambassador circa 1966 I reckon, hopefully Al will help out here, anyways she in good nick and will make a comfy home for the next 24 months Cheers Stephen&Julie

Hello All Just finished repainting the stripes on the Ambassador, changed them from green to black, looking a lot better now Cheers S&J

Good pick up Steve. I know you mentioned at Cooly Rocks that you were looking for another van.
Looks like you are already stuck into it and bringing it up to your normal great standard.

Your van looks almost the same as mine (currently doing mine up [78 model though ]). I'm curious to see what you think (actually alittle concerned) - do you think the dual axle vans can take more weight than the single axle? (Reason I ask - I've already installed all the mod-cons in my van) I) Flush toilet ii) Reverse cycle Air-conditioner iii) Water pump 12V (marine battery coming).
I tried to compensate the extra weight to a degree by removing all gas/ water tank (now removeable)... but guessing I'm going to add an extra 100kg (conservative estimate).
Anyway - your van looks like a beauty - I'm jealous. I wish I saw yours back when I bought mine - I have spent SO MUCH TIME sandblasting rust, rust proofing, rebuilding hatches, wedging stuck windows open/ etc..
