Hi there, I am just wondering if there are many tasmanian vintage vans down here? I know of two guys Murray and Andrew who both have been very welcoming to a new girl! I dream of one day getting over to the big island for one of the amazing looking tours, but we are a ways off yet! I would be really interested to see how many are down here, even the vv just passing through! Well not really passing though, maybe making the journey.

See this like button is great!! Lola is coming along. A Christmas trip I reckon at this rate. Your comment about needing a stove to get registered is a worry! I don't want gas in our van at all.. Hmmm have to rethink I guess.

Wouldn't worry about the Stove re rego thing ! Just check out what your local roadworthy guy requires. It might surprise you!
Have about 6 VVers close to home here so 20 plus should be as sinch !

Hi Sage60a we are moving down to the Apple Isle later this year due to work commitments so happy to see yr post we have just started work on Alice a 68/69 Viscount and we will be coming over from FNQLD (Cassowary Coast) in her ....BIG Trip!!!! and would be really interested in local meet ups Gas issue a bit of a concern here too ... may just go electric !  |

Thanks Hi there we are in Kingston and just beginning an adventure with "Maud" our 1963 Florida Millard... Christmas sounds a good way off to get comfortable on the road! Going over the pits tomorrow! Would love to meet any new friends down this way! |

Hi pinkiebearandpony, we're neighbours! We're in the Huon Valley. Where are you taking your van for the pit inspection? I wouldn't even know who does that! Let us know how it goes. We're a few months away from inspections. Will start removing some of the wall lining and ceiling lining next week and then hopefully the week after that I can get the electrics re-done. Then I'll give it a good clean inside and out and do a little painting and then the wall and ceiling linings can go back in. At some stage I need to get the chassis sandblasted and new stabiliser legs and a new step fitted. Really hoping to have the van ready by December but as always money is an issue so well just see how it goes.
