Hi All Just been yarning with a bloke here at work. Apparently a mate of his lives locally and owns a Propert and has just decided he wants to sell it. Needless to say the bloke that i was yarning with has just become my first bestest ever buddy . Knowing that i "Mess about with this old crap" (his words) also he knows i have a bondwood and am in the process of building a teardrop He asked me what the Propert is worth?? Apparently it is registered and in good condition. My reply was its only worth what someone is willing to pay and stated that without seeing it i would be reluctant to offer a ballpark figure. He is gunna go back and check with his mate and i am gunna go and check with my bank manager. Is anyone aware of this Newcastle based Propert. How about you Humpty....any leads on this one? So the topic for discussion here Ray,Don and Trodler ( and any others that may be out there i have missed) is .....How much did you blokes pay for your Properts . I understand you may not want to state publicly how much of the "hard earned" you shelled out . If that is the case then a Personal Message would be great. I know they are an Ozzie icon and very unique . I wouldnt mind one to add to the growing collection of splinters down the yard. If it doesnt end up in my yard for what ever reason. I will get the blokes detailos and post them on this thread. I would rather see it end up with someone from this website than end up on ebay and spending its retirement days as a dog kennel or worse still... a teenage retreat. Stay tuned Cheers All Reddo

Hi Reddo I know of a Propert at Lake Cathie - absolutely in schmick condition. Perhaps it's him and has moved to Newcastle ? Bigdidda got an exceptional deal on his, I know that for sure. The Propert belonging to Werner Ebert in Melbourne (my friend who died) ended up selling for $5000! Fellow I met from outside Canberra last year paid $6000 unrestored! Mine owes me about $3500 including my cost of restoration materials. I think the last one on ebay went for just under $3000. So take your pick!! Would love to gear his asking price. Cheers Ray
