I've booked into the 2012 Vintage Caravan National - Site PG 48 (a). Is anyone coming who plays the Ukulele. It would be good to have a sing-a-long / strum-a-long. Gypsy2

LATEST NEWS ON BOOKINGS FOR THE 2012 VINTAGE CARAVAN NATIONALS If you haven't booked yet, make sure you read this! G'day everyone, Well, it's less than twelve months to the 2012 V V Nationals in Cowra, NSW. It has been great to see how many people have booked their site, and especially to see how many first timers will be there. I had a ring today from Craig, the Manager of the Cowra Van Park, to give me an update on bookings. As of this morning, there are only: - 2 powered sites available (turns out Magicangelisa's site wasn't quite the last...
- 18 un-powered sites
- 10 cabins (sleeping 5 or 6)
When the moderators booked the caravan park, we had no idea that it would fill up so fast. We are astonished (and excited). It'sdefinitely going to be the biggest and best V V Nationals yet! If you haven't booked, be quick. But no doubt there are some forum members out there who haven't booked yet...because they thought they had plenty of time...or because they haven't sorted out their annual leave arrangements yet... So if you end up missing out on a site at this stage, don't despair. This is the procedure:1. Ring Craig ASAP and ask him to put you on his waiting list. Craig's details are in the post that began this thread. 2. There will most likely be a few people who have booked sites who end up not being able to come. Craig will allocate these sites to people on the waiting list on a first come, first served basis. 3. Closer to the event (say three months out) the moderators will talk to Craig about the length of the waiting list. If it looks as if some people on the waiting list won't get a site, we'll look at arranging an 'overflow' at another caravan park in Cowra. The aim will be to keep people together as much as we can. To maximise the sites available in the Van Park for V V'ers, Craig is talking to the local Council about holding some of our group activities in an adjacent park. (Note that this is only referring to activities such as Happy Hour, etc, not locating caravans in the park.) The moderators are actively working with Craig and some other locals to arrange some activities for the week of the Nationals for those who are interested in participating. (We know that's not everbody's cup of tea, and that's OK by us.) We'll give you updates from time to time as the months go by. It's going to be a blast folks! Don Ricardo (for the moderating team)

Peter and Frances are booked in - I hope! Craig is away, but "Keith" took details, and has booked us in to an unpowered site, (Hopefully powered by April '12). Didn't give me a site No., and I forgot to give my forum name. Never mind, I will phone again in a few weeks when Craig is back. This will be our first VV outing, looking forward to showing off our newly painted Sunliner!
