Hi everyone, Thank you to all that were involved with the organising of a fantastic week in Cowra. I've only got a couple of photos to add, Thanks to Adam for bringing his car over for the photo opportunity. For those that don't know the story, the van was towed by a Chysler Royal by the original owners/builders. As everyone has already said, Sunday was a huge day with hundreds of people coming through the gates to look at our vans and being the first caravan in the gate had its advantages......... A bloke was looking through Mum and Dad's van and mentioned that his brother had the family's caravan on his farm. Details were exchanged, and we dropped in on the way home........ Don 120 number 748, complete but needing a good tidy up. So soon there will be a "His" and a "Hers" in the backyard at my parents!

G'day John (the quite one), How many more tips did you get sitting there at the front gate ? I'm pleased you and dad picked up the Don anyway..... looks like it will come up pretty good Cobber.

I can only agree with everyone and say what a terrific time was had at the Nationals... The moderators, administrators and all who had a hand in this event deserve a huge thanks and congratulations. THANKS!! CONGRATULATIONS!! Th Cowra-ites were also very friendly and supportive - might have something to do with the amount that was spent in town - I feel i have shares in a couple of the antique shops now :0!! Can't wait for the next one

Sidedraught, I grew up in Gertie Brook's hometown of Bowraville. I remember her at the height of her career. I don't recall the little caravan, it was probably kept in a shed but I remember she was a local heroine. I was 8 yrs old in 1951. Thoroughly enjoyed taking Adelong Life to our first rally. Congratulations to mods and participants. Keith and Dot.

Hi All, Some of our pix, & a bit of comment. First day( Boots birthday on Sunday) was a disaster, but after we were tilt trayed back home, & clutch slave & master cylinder were rebuilt, we made it to Grafton on monday evening. Tried for Glen Innes, but had a puncture in left rear on the tandem. So stayed at Grafton, replaced damaged tube, then set out again. Got about 20 Km & smoke started coming out from under dash. Found a melted high beam fuse, so ripped it out & continued without lights. Dont need them in the day anyway. Another 20 Km or so, my sole wiper arm fell apart. So roadside repairs took place (took it off car), & then had a good run up the hill to Glen Innes. Its a bit of a pull with a heavy van. My rod & Deejay weigh around 4 tonnes total, & I only got about 2.5 Km per litre between Grafton & Glen Innes. Freezing cold up at Glen Innes during the day, and at one stop to dig out more warm clothes, David & Lyn caught up with us. We made it Gunnedah just on dark, so not having lights didnt hurt us. Had a nice( late) party for Boots Birthday, thanks to Homemade54 (Dianne) bring a Pav , cream & fruit salad. Had a good run rest of way down, averaging about 3.5 Km per litre. Cowra was great. Lots of people every where, continuous partying, sight seeing, touring around, just what a nationals should be. This was my favorite car there, Lloyd from Tamworth towed a Gracemur with it. It has all late Holden bits. We were adopted by this bloke. Had one more puncture at Gulgong on way home, but otherwise it was an enjoyable time, & great to meet lots of new people JBJ

Hi all, got back to Beverley Thursday 7pm after a 5 day trip........ I'll post some pics of the trip accross the paddock when time permits .......didn't get away from Cowra til Sunday morning, as had to wait for a water pump for the truck to arrive from Sydney, ......then have it fitted. What a blast the nats were , a great time had by all judging by the feedback. Many thanks to our team, Craig and Belinda (and others) for getting behind the event. Was good to meet many people, both from the forum and others with vintage caravans who are non members. We welcome all vintage vanners regardless of whether they're forum members or not ............some people just don't do computers ........we get that ! ......and of course it was great to catch up with many old faces from the forum, whom I only get to see bi-annualy it seems ........and the SEQ mob .......don't they know how to party ........great to meet alot of you guys. and thanks to Brian (noblesgarage) for joining me on the long haul West with a coupla V V's on board ...... as for the 2014 nats, there's a number of towns interested in our business ..............stay tuned for an announcement in a couple of months or so ....... Mark

Well Cowra has been and gone.............I think everyone will agree it was the BEST EVER!!!. I will post a couple of photos....not too many as most has been covered. Firstly I couldn't help noticing this 'art work' at Gunning, where I freecamped on my way to Cowra (after running out of petrol 10klms short of our destination, ::)and no-one knows about it!!) ;D ;D Damn...just said to myself...."self, I should have saved this for a 'where-is'"!!! Just a couple of cars at the Nationals....firstly my '54 Ford Skyliner with Janorma Then this nice Ford Fairlane 'Compact' Convertible. Coupla vans and cars Gotta love this ....the 2 MG's ready to go with their 'Teardrops' Went to the iconic 'Japanese Gardens'.....the photos tell it all Went to Iandra Castle........so did about another 100 or so!!. This place was absolutely fabulous...... Thats from the front door.....this is from the back, in the stables There must have been a Bellfry somewhere......this poor little bat coudn't find it though And we leave Iandra...........will go back when I can! Also took a trip out to Wyangla Dam Thats just a short wrap of my look at Cowra........I won't bore you with the old Holdens at a blokes place or the original '63 Sunliner in the shed at Cowra....or the sad attempt (these blokes need assistance) at the Railway Museum Do you think I might need some Air Shocks
