Nice, funny nothing ever wanders into my driveway except bills. What are you going to tow with it?

Hi Gordo... Now that will do a better job of towing the TD than the VW.. Great old car ... and parts are still fairly common for them... Towbars aren't hard to make/modify to fit off another vehicle if ya cant find an original bar. Cheers Reddo

Gday Reddo. Before i attack the voxy i want to get back in finishing the Td.Past few months have been a bit draining.Had to sort out mums town house & move her to an aged care facility.Job i had for last 5 years after op was really putting a strain on me.Chucked it in two weeks ago, walked next door & landed a new you beaut job on the spot. The deciding factor re keeping the voxy remains in the hands of the doc who tells me i will have to modify the old beast as my ankle either locks up/drops.Either that or find a new (female) driver. The voxy was too good to pass up in any case. It has a rebuilt donk, all brakes been done & leather seats. Apart from towbar it needs a radiator. All the bits & pieces(handles/winders/arm rests etc) are there.Just a matter of putting back on. Has minor door rust issues & i`ll probably replace bonnet for same reason but as can be seen it is 50 years old so its expected. gordo

hi gordo
Good to see another Vauxhall getting put back in active service. What about a hand throttle? If you need any bits send me a PM, I've got lots, and the missus keeps wanting to know why I have 3 bonnets etc. Standard answer is 'they dont' make em anymore.' I'm not far away.

Looks like a good solid car Gordon, wish someting that good would wander into my drive also, about the only thing that finds it's way here is the sort of thing that no one else would touch because of the amount of rust, but then some one has to care for these poor unwanted things don't they?

Gday Humpyboy. Considering Roxys age she`s structurally quite sound. Certainly usual rust issues along bottoms doors & a patch panel will need to be plated under o/s/f guard.Sills are superficial.Bonnet (for me) is a definate replacement.Coming from SA (still got the pressed ali plates) i suppose was a saving grace in what rust is/was there. Heaps of paperwork & a 120 page manual.Interestingly one of the former owners was from the Willunga Winery.

Nice one, I was considering placing a bid on that one as it certainly looked decent, will be good to see how it comes up.

Hi MbOrBust. Sure glad you didn`t. Ha.I am really surprised that of the 240 odd watchers & a 9 day listing that no one else bid. I am really pleased with the purchase but ticked off with myself knowing that the two chrome strips running along rear fins were just sitting there & i forgot to take them off before transit. Got it home to find one had flipped off along the way. Otherwise alls pretty good with the old girl. So what really needs to be done first off ? Another bonnet & radiator won`t go astray so i can get her purring.I want to replace all door/window rubbers also. Take the seats out & clean & prep the floor pan.Sound deaden, underlay then refit carpet.I`m glad that the seats/trims aren`t the original blue/black as for me it would`ve been too much blue. The red leather seats/trims give it a much better look. A bit of Liddys leather treatment will certainly finish them off. It will need a repaint in same colours at a later date but for now i`ll just leave it. gordo

I've recently purchased one of these with the three piece window, I was also lucky enough to land one with aftermarket Tilly strips on the side They are great, enjoy it

Hi Y/Uki.Thanks & yours is a smart looking car but i thought it was for sale.Your right about the tilly strips they give it a luxury look. And so they should. *Just scored a rear window venetian.* gordo
