I'm just back from Forster and what a wonderful weekend it was (forgetting Friday nights rain).
It was my first forum event with my Gypsy van and thank you to everyone who attended.
There were 11 vans in all, 18 adults and three very well behaved youngsters belonging to Geoff & Jude.
I'll let the others post photos ;D

hi sandra
if you use (copy) the "img codes" instead of the direct link, your photos will appear in your post.
to copy the img code, hold the cursor over the code, when it changes to the little hand, left click to copy it, then paste it into your post instead of the direct link.

Howdy all you happy campers. Had a good time at Forster. Rain limited the amount of M/C riding to a bit on Friday and then again saturday after lunch. As with any other holiday spot the place took on a completely different appearance once the sun came out. The channel / river / lake and beaches up around that way are beautiful. Was great catching up with the NSW regular attendees and also a bit of a surprise finding JBJ and Boots there when I arrived... even bigger surprise when I spotted Shultzy and Susanne rock in with their faithfull old TD in tow. Lots of entertainment on Friday night with shultzy showing off his prowess in model plane flying... a Glider with about a 6 ft wingspan taxied off down the van park and took to the night sky .. quickly climbing to around a couple of hundred feet... then the LED lights came on with changing colours.... man what a show We had a line of cars parked along the van park fence watching the spectical.. is it a UFO??... lots old permanents in the park out star gazing at the glider... Rained heavily later that night and the New replica fake not for real not everyones cuppa tea sprang a leak over the front window... A few hours on Saturday morning with the drop side toaster plugged in and strategically positioned near the sponge mattress .... aided by Geoff and Judes fan heater had the internals of the van all dry in no time.. A bead of marine silastic across the window has the problem fixed. Shot over to Nabiac M/C museum for a few hours and then headed back to camp.. sun was out .. took the old matchless for a run down the coast road and off into the sand dune trails for a bit of a look see at the surf. Headed to the pub Saturday night for dinner. back to bed by 8.30. Headed for home around 10.10 sunday morning... the boom gate wouldn't let me out due to the check out time being 10.00am.. luckily Shultzy seen my dilemma and I used his number to escape.!!! Passed Dennis and sue near Buladelah happily cruising south with the rod and "Dee Jay" in tow. Arrived home a bit after 12.15. Have since made repairs to the TD cupboards where the Matchy had broken free from its shackles en route to Forster and tried to smash its way through the right side of the van with its handlebars... Just gotta work on the " trouble and strife " now to see if I can escape again this weekend with the TD to Nabiac swap meet..... Had a ball guys.. see yas at Kendalls in September. Reddo

And similar sentiments from George and Barbara, it was great to get to know a few more of the Forum members better and catch up with a couple we were already familiar with. Great spot and somewhere we had not explored before. Really loved the amenities block, straight out of the 1960s I should think, hope they never knock it down George
