Hi Ray they just get wierder as time goes on but they are were part of someones dreams and now they are a part of aussies vin Vanning history Tucky found it in one of the eastern suburbs the guy wants two thousand Dollars ;D I have made him an offer he can refuse but my problem is no more room and I am seriously looking for a sunliner or lookalike around the 60s I checked it out and is in much better condition than it looks on the screen Has F.E. tyres and rims and really needs litle work to get it up this would be a good van to keep track of because of the enginuity probably in its day a full on project fraught with challenges stuff like this would be perfect for Austalias first Vintage caravan museum I think vans like Trevs Tram my teardrop would be perfect I spoke to Mark about leasing a small building and setting it up as a storage unit as well as a place the public could visit to see old vans I think over here there are averaging 2.5 vans per member in fact surfer boy just bought ditzys van Mark has around five or six vans I have three soon four brian noble has four gentleman jim has two snail has five or six and the list goes on so we might try and appeal to some wealthy type to donate a spot to perpetuate W.A s vintage Vanning History Ever heard the sweet Dreamin baby cheers Will

Vintage Caravan Museum. Sorry Will I gotta disagree with ya on this one mate. I get into "blues" all the time with old blokes in the vintage motorcycle clubs that pull there bikes out of climate controlled plastic bags to ride them at rallies at a quarter of the speed they where intended to be used at. Whole purpose of the exercise is to keep em spotless and pick up some trophy/ dust collector for having the most original bike at the rally. Thats not enjoying your hobby in my mind. They may as well be riding pushbikes or better still , sell them to someone who will use them as they where intend by the manufacturer i hate going to a motor vehicle cemetery ( read here museum) . Where people come and rub thier noses against the glass at some static display.......and say things like" IMAGINE what it must of been like driving/ riding one of those" . I agree that things should be preserved for future generations to enjoy . With a little care and cleaning by the owner while towing/ travelling/holidaying these old vans will last long after we are gone. What better way to let the public see caravanning history than to drop these sort of vans on your towball and drag it around Australia , holidaying, camping , using the van as it was designed to be used and showing it off to the public. Having said all that. I hope you score the van Will. Once you own it , it is your call what you do with it. It really is something different. I liked the Grand Pooh Bahs comment... "What the" Reddo - climbing down off his soapbox. Havent even had a beer t'sarvo either.

;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Reddo I agree with you Museums suck all I wanted was a place to park More old vans so Lyn cant see what ive bought outa site outa mind no wot I mean Jailbar as much as I luv vintage vans that particular van is fugly I dont want to scare the neighbours or prospective visitors could you imagine some one walked down the drive and the moon came out from behind a cloud and you saw the amarillo with the roof wound down sitting in the corner of the yard with two great big porthole eyes looking at you imagine this two kids sleeping in the van someone disturbed them the kids screamed and turned the lights on Imagine the scenario WOT THE!!!!!! AAAAARRRRGGGHHHH!!! ARMARGEDDON OUTA HERE is that the way you would like to introduce people to vintage vanning Right brothers and sisters just seeing it in the daylight scared me but because I felt sorry for it I offered the owner some money to give it a home no wot I mean Ive even got a name for it if I win it it looked so ugly it reminded me of david beckhams wife so I will name it scary van weve got a problem with cats burglars and debt collectors I was thinking a good way to get a place to park it is loan it to my neighbours and clean up the neighbour hood unwanted visitors ;D Will
