Its little wonder FX & FJ Holdens rusted as badly as they did ..........I reckon rust would've been well underway when some of these cars were delivered brand spankin new Lets say you've restored your beloved FJ ute to this stage : Where would be the best place to store it for a few weeks whilst you're waiting to assemble it I reckon out in the weather at Port Melbourne would be pretty good .......close to the ocean, nice & moist there ....... and exposed to regular sprays of salt water from gusty winds after all, the external body is painted, and the underbody does have a coat of primer ;D ;D Mark ;D ;D

The 'ring in' to the left of the dual cab is a Vauxhall E series, goes to show what sturdy stuff they were made of George

First Apologies to mark for hijacking your thread, I do love that photo! We must talk more on CHEVIES. I have a 52 two door sedan and a 41 Chevie P/U.(oh and a 60 Sunliner) Rod Ahh you'll prolly be horrified to find I have been a ford man most of my life LOL. The chev is a long term project, it is a 40 sedan that I plan to cut up and turn into a roadster, which basically means remaking everything from the front doors back, not this weekend. Current project is a 48 fargo pickup, Z'ed chassis on XJ12 front and rears, 351c/393c and 4 speed, lucky this is a mint cab, so once the chassis is finished it should progess a little quicker. Then there is the 27 Dodge (project), '71 280SE 3.5 Benz (tidy driver), 71 350SLC (parts or BIG project), 66 suzuki T20 (super Six), Super Blackbird (toy) 62/63 Roma Caravan, plus the daily's and nowhere near enough time
