Well I've done it again No4 van bought and going to check bearings ,tyres and tow ball tommrrow and try and work it from its tight little place between the gum trees, if all goes well may even bring back . Will take photos safari badge on front and english engineering firms chassis plate on "a" frame under body rear door entry table at rear wash/?shower area opossite door stove/oven to left sink beside that double bed steel frame up front, which looks added ,roof has two lantern step ups one main length and other only half length ,some damp looking areas in ceiling ,has been wallpapered and then painted, indepentant suspension with coil over at wheel and front trailing arm , rough pace out makes it some 15 / 16'. second viewing always bring out all that was missed , hope theres not too much . Tommorrow , bring it on Rod ;D Pymies

Wow!! she sure is a biggin I hope you have a powerful car to tow it with I think my grey powered fb would just laugh if I hooked that up to her!! Come to think of it I would say that the van would be bigger than a fb. Whata sight that would be driving down the road. ;D All jokes aside that is a pretty cool van, love the side chrome moulding

Hi all, sides look like alloy over ply but somepanels insde have been replaced look like they join a frame work, roof alloy lined with styra foam and wood panelling font alloy ,rear fibreglass, the floor is sitting on a black plastic sheet and then fixed to chassis, no water tank but set up to run mains , the suspension looks to be sitting on its stops and the guy at collection new old owner who said the suspension wound up, but can not see this (Yet). Chassis plate reads B&BTrailers ltd, Leamington spa , england 109738, Oven a Radford , Hot plate Flavel, no fridge but what looks like a small ice box on ajacent wall The more I look the more water /rot I find mainly around window which have been open for 6 years . now to put all these projects in order and not get side tracked again, P.S told missus we need better tow cars to suit, even said we could have a setup each , the temperature rose slightly, but not to bad , will work on her. will try contacting UKBrain some help in dating van length 16'11" call it 17' Rod ;D Pymie out

Rod, I have just discovered that link I gave you to contact UK Brian may not be the best one, he is having problems with his web host people and is now with Proboards, so you can see his new site @ classicsafaris.proboards.com/I'm sure he would be able to offer any help you need in dating your Safari. Cobber.

Rod
A shower tray would be no problem over here, just need to know the size, as the bathroom layout was set by the first owner and a variety of sizes was used.
A Safari of that period would have had a Dometiq 12v/240v/gas fridge, that are also available over here in a range of sizes, but shipping would be a lot!
So convince your other half that the safari will be a real star of the Aussie VV scene, and get on with the restoration!
