It has been difficult to bring myself to do this, but I think it is time to move my Teardrop Trailer on. I have done a restoration on this old timer back in 2005 - 2006. I have only used it a few times and it has sat in my garage for the past few years not being used. The Teardrop was originally built back in the early 1950's by a cabinet maker. I purchased it from his daughter in Yamba NSW in 2004. It has had all timbers replaced except the chassis which is also constructed of timber. I did however add a galvanised steel drawbar for safety as the original was also timber. It is a very basic Teardrop and has been restored as close as possible to original including full timber frame and single skinned sides and top. It has been wired for 240v with period style power points and an internal light. Sleeps 2 comfortably as long as you don't mind being intimate Tows very easily and I have towed it with my 1200cc VW Bug. It is time for it to move on to someone who has the time to enjoy it. It needs nothing done except maybe some personal touches you may wish to add or change. It is NSW registered until Dec this year. I am asking $4000, but I am negotiable. The Teardrop is located in the Blue Mountains NSW. If you are interested in having a look or would like more information you can send me a private message. There is more images of the restoration on here if you click on my previous posts. Thanks Greg

G'day Greg, Sorry to see you moving on mate, I wouldn't mind betting your very nice teardrop will sell quickly in the present environment. Anybody who is interested can see the rebuild of this van if you click HERE. Good luck with it Greg. Cobber.

Hello Cobber,
Yeah just that time of life at the moment where a little bit of uncertainty is happening with my career. Shiftwork does not help either!
I'll most likely find myself with another vintage van in the future as it's now in the blood :-)
I'll be sad to see it go, but would rather see someone get some enjoyment out of it then having it sit in my garage.
Cheers
Greg

Hello everyone, it's been quite a while since I have logged on here!
Just wondering if anyone has seen my old Teardrop Trailer around? I wish I didn't sell the damn thing, a lot of hard work went into the restoration. It was sold to Reddo, whom I believe sold it on to someone from Rockhampton??? I did a rego check on it and it is no longer registered in NSW with that rego. I hope it has survived.
Best wishes everyone
Greg

Hello Cobber!
Yeah I'm still around, I have my fingers in too many pies at the moment. I am currently rebuilding another later model VW Transporter into a camper and I have a boat project as well going. I'm thinking of doing another Teardrop build in the future. I'll message Susie, it would be great to hear how the old trailer is going.
Thanks again
Greg
