well I'm looking forward to the nats, my van is not quite ready, but i just dont have the energy to finish polishing it all over again, only got half done this time. i had more energy a year ago. the van is up and running, and fully operating (but no water tank yet). I'm just coming with van as it is, and clean inside and out. I'll be there by myself, anyone else coming alone? or are all partnered?

Hi fireballv8,

Don't worry about your van having to look perfect. On the whole, that's not what we are about. Some people will manage to have their vans looking fantastic, but others either won't have the time, skills, energy or inclination to work on their vans prior to the nationals.

But it's the joining in that counts. :D :D Basically we are a very friendly bunch and have made some great friendships over the years. We just like to get out and about and enjoy ourselves.

I will also be there by myself and expect that there will be a few others in the same boat.

Regards
Diane

I will be travelling up with a group and spending a week in Cowra with all the friends I've made but my wife is staying home so does this put me in the alone catagory? don't think so. ;D

I had an MRI a few days ago and spoke to my Doctor a little while ago.

The upshot is that he strongly advised against driving to Cowra, so this means a site is up for grabs.

Arrive 28/4 and depart 4/5.

Have a great time everyone and take plenty of photos.

G'day Max,

Bad luck mate.. but it is better to heed their advice even though they can be a pain in the butt sometimes.

I hope things improve for you and you are able to get about again real soon.

Hi Max,

Sorry to hear you arent going to Cowra, I was looking forward to catching up with you.

You have to do what the doctor says unfortunately.

Hopefully you wont have to go thru what I did last year, but if that happens you can rest assured the medical people will have it under control.

All the best for the future

Hi Max,

Sorry to hear that you are not well enought to attend Cowra.

Take it easy and do as the doctors say and hopefully you will be on the road to recovery real soon.

All the best

I now have one less sleep til I leave for Cowra, as my boss has given me an early minute, which means I don't have to work next Friday.
I should now be able to get to Cowra on Sat arvo instead of Sunday arvo.
I reckon that I will ring Cowra Van park on Sat morning to see if I can get in a day early. If that's not possible, then I will probably stay in West Wyalong or Grenfell on Sat night, which will give me an easy drive to Cowra Sun morning.

Well now I am kinda ripped off. >:( >:( >:(

Fully a week ago Mum and Dad put my new axel in and doesn't my butt look great! ;D ;D ;D

Yesterday Dad finished taking out all the old zinc screws in my aluminium and replaced them with NEW brass slot head screws. I feel soooo special.

Today Mum and Dad put me on the back of the car and off we go!!!!

For a TEST RUN!?!?!?!?!?!?

What the hell is that all about. Here I am thinking I am off to the Nationals, but NOOOOOOOOO, we did maybe 15km, just to get a run on the freeway to make sure I was gunna behave with me new axel.

Now I have to wait until next Saturday to go - what will the lady vans do until I get there?? Hold on girls I'll be there soon!! (As soon as Dad takes me that is!!! >:( >:( >:()

Lots of love Curtis
