A Noble Sunliner

Hi V V fans Well we finely got to inspect our newly acquired Sunliner

Many thanks to Larry & Lyn.

Here are some photos for you lot to peruse. 8-)

Paperwork would indicate it to be Manufactured in 1960

Another interesting bit of paper

All inside wardrobe and cupboards are sprayed in the orig fleck as used in boat building even under bed bases.

Inbuilt plate rack in over head cupboards and as you can see in wardrobe small shelves ::)

These are all through the caravan. and on all the small doors around the floor.

All the paintwork inside the van is original and in very good cond. as you can see

240 volt fluro and 12 volt lights along with the ones over the kitchen area which are the same as the Clarence lights.

Original style tow hitch and single stop/tail light on the rear along with Clarence lights and indicates.

The screw holes are were Larry fitted lights to van for trip over. Outside is in reasonable cond but has had a repaint by the orig owner by hand. 8-)

So all in all, still a very nice Van.

Now people you can probably see Wye I can't get that stupid grin of my face

This would have to go close to being the most original un molested Sunliners left.
Plans for the Sunny

Just enjoy her as she is 8-)

Roll on the spring tour.

No wonder you're grinning from ear to ear. That is one beautiful Sunliner. The interior is fantastic. 8-)

Are you going to bring her back over east for the 2012 V V Nationals? She obviously coped with the journey over to you, so why not a couple more?

In any case, I expect you will still be smiling as broadly next April!

G'day Brian,

That is a nice original Sunliner, lucky you

It looks as though the original owners didn't even fit the sail track, or is it up there where I can't see it

I'll tell you what............... it would be a lot more posh to live in when you come to Cowra and travel back across the Nullabor than this primitive old thing Mark is going to use for digs ::)

You'll appreciate the Sunliner even more after that experience I bet

maaaaaaaaate .........I'll be down next Saty arv with me spray gun ........we'll hit that hideous multi coloured interior with a coat of Sandy's choice ..........no need to go to the trouble of taping up door handles etc mate .........we'll colour code it one colour throughout ......much nicer

Thanks Don and yes I'm a happy man

just spent the day giving the interior a spit and polish for the spring tour next week 8-)

Lyn gave it a good going over so that didn't leave me that much.

The pole on the towel rail at the front is Larry's extender able TV ant. or more commonly a extension pole for a swimming pool leaf scoop.

Cobber there is no track fitted to the van

good thing I can still work in feet and inches

I'll be a FIFO attendant at the nationals so may bunk with Mr T (that's if he's still speaking to me by then)

Taylor just check photos next time you get a Leeds

But thanks any way mate. Pass on the spray job to many projects in the shed

and the compressors broken.

Wooow! Congratulations guys! So rare to find them in original condition like yours and mine. Don't touch a thing!!! Love the letters, too. Great provenance. Isn't the columbine colour system gorgeous?? Looks just like my interior - right down to the flecked plate rack. You never see them unmolested.

Another jewel saved!!

Thanks Dorian and yes not doing a thing to the inside as it has come up like new. 8-)

only thing not original from factory is the 3 way fridge which I believe was installed in the 80s. The doors on the front and back overhead cupboards were added a couple of years after they bought the van in the factory in Forster. as there is a slit color difference in the matching. Other than that she all rigi-dig.

I love how yours turned out 8-)

the wide whites on the wheels really set it of. May do the same as Sandra's Premier has the same and iv'e got a spare set of Premier caps and trims.???. Brian.

Being half way through a sunliner restoration myself, and all the frustrations that brings with it, I am soooo jealous of your rare find! That little van is such a great little time capsule and I am glad to hear you are just giving it a polish and going to enjoy it! It is also good for guys like me to be able to see how things were inside, so that I can get ours to look similar - god knows where I'll get those fantastic light fittings you've got tho!

The whitewalls are simply inserts. they are very good and you can buy light truck tyres and still have whitle walls. you buy them from antique tyres at ingleburn.
