After open day at Maroochydore we like many others were hooked on the whole concept of finding and restoring our own little piece of history. We chose a Sunliner as our first vv, mainly because of the classic retro styling these vans deliver. Here's some pics of how she looked. The inside was stripped, cupboard carcasses were repainted as close to original as possible. The multi coloured doors are factory original. The last pic is of Lionel slaving away on our 1964 rose patterned lino, using steel wool lightly. Regards retro64

Hi Retro64 Glad you joined the fibreglass fanatics ;D ;D ;D
Any Vintage van is worth saving..... just needs lots of TLC and elbow grease. Seems Lionel has plenty of elbow grease. ;D ;D ;D
Nice looking van to start with. Keep the photos coming
We can all use new ideas on how to rebuild, revamp our vans.
Cheers Atog

Thanks for the welcome atog,
Hope you enjoyed the extra pics just posted, we loved the whole experience of putting the interior together. A bit of a treasure hunt to source the retro bits and pieces but well worth the effort. The exterior will be revamped in time and we will add pics as we go along.
cheers

Hi bobandjacqui,
Yes Lionel has plenty of patience, comes in very handy with the fiddly bits. We're very happy with the way it looks so far.

Hi Dorian,
We just had a look at your Sunliner, courtesy of Atog sending us a link. Your Sunliner is GORGEOUS and coupled with the Citron, well....words fail me it looks so good. It was especially nice to see the original multi coloured doors, and original interior, the doors and layout very much like ours. Well done Dorian,
