Hi,
That qualifies 200%. the Carapark Hunter Minor is already documented on this forum, & Phargan has one that has been to a few of our SE Qld meets. They are a great little van, perfectly suited to towing behind a Morrie.
A few repairs & you'll be using it.

Hi again 53s2mm,
I can see there are some major differences between your van and Phargan's Hunter Minor. Your van appears to be longer, it has a different side profile and is not quite as straight up and down at the front, it has a curve to the floor at the front, and you have two windows on the off-side wall.
Maybe the Hunter Minor was redesigned over time, but it looks like it is a different make and model. Can you find any manufacturers plates, etc anywhere? Although you were told it was a Hunter Minor, it is not uncommon for people selling a van to say that it is a particular make and model because it looks a bit like one they've seen. Others on the forum may have some suggestions as to what make your van is.
I take your point about the aluminium cladding. However, looking at the photos you've posted, my guess is that the cladding has been added sometime after the van was built, unless it is actually a home built van. The reason I say this is because whoever put the cladding on used a number of different sheets on each wall with quite a few visible seams. Most commercial caravan builders would have used only one sheet of aluminium on a wall (particularly on a small van like yours), and where they had to use more than one, would have kept the seams to a minimum, and would have hidden them with a piece of strapping or similar. That's my guess. Others may think differently.
By the way I note that the thread on your van is currently in the 'General...July 2004 to 2007' section. You won't get a whole lot of comment there because that section is like the forum archives. You may like to ask the forum Administrators (Mark T or Kris B) to move your thread to 'Members Photo Albums'. You can then add extra photos of your van when you have them.

Aaaahh, now we know where the Wodonga van went...
Welcome aboard! If you'd like to be added to the location maps let me know.
I'd go with Don's ideas. He's the man when it comes to detail.
You'll be amazed what he and other members pick up detail wise from photo's, the more you post, the more you'll learn!
Cheers Chris

Welcome 53s2mm Looks like you dragged the little hunter minor home from wodonga? If so, glad to see another person out there like me who does not trailer things home ;D Towing stuff home is half the fun! (yes yes I know, just as much fun if its on a trailer.....and safer - but wheres the challenge...) Bonus points to you also for using the morrie to drag her home (I must confess to using late model car). If my judgement is right, your ACT popup camper would also be pre 1970. I believe they were made late 1960s. I used to own one, and it was anyway. I think it was a cruiser hardtop. Certainly the Hunter will make a classy replacement for the ACT once restored. Look forward to seeing more pics and hearing about your plans. Cheers, Gristy ;D

G'day 53s2mm Good looking van. I have one of similarness but you've made a start and I haven't. Good luck with the restoration. Big job but I reckon that you will get there. If the enthusiasm drops a bit just hop back on the forum and you'll here every one cheering you on. They're great like that. Look forward to more progress photos. Regards Andrew

I have noticed no one mentioned the wheel type, a semi educated guess put them of being off a Standard around about 39 model.
