Hi all.
Seems as the Reddo critters have been watching what trish and i drag home . I got out of bed this morning and opened the blinds to look down the backyard.
The cattledog was sitting with this rrrrrreeeeaaallll guilty look on his face. i suspect he wanted this as his new kennel.
its about 10 ft long and has a dropped axle with FJ Holden hubs and wheels . ( Holden components... cccoooolllll. )
We had a long discussion and he has agreed that with so much rotted timber behind the aluminium and the roof hatch missing it is beyond salvation.
.
The cat came down the yard to dob the dog in for draggin it home . We knocked the lid off a stubby each and sat round discussing the kennels future.
we unanamously agreed that we should demolish it and use the floor and rolling stock as a basis for a teardrop van/kennel.
Bill the cattledog has big plans. He is gunna keep the porthole, j moulds and strips, sink, original ice chest, fynspray pump, water tank, hinges, knobs, mirror etc. light fittings and a few goodies we found in the cupboards. he tells me he spent all night draggin it home . he paid $150 for it. what a clever hound
I agreed to let him use the 17" wire wheels that i got from Gosford swap last weekend.
as long as bill pays the $189 ea for the tyres. ;D
if anyone wants the green cushions with buttons still intact,( Bill and The cat want velour bunks) aluminium windows or anything that they feel might be of value for thier van then let me know. you can have em for nix, gratis, free. just gotta pick em up from newcastle.or i can take the bits to Coledale for the cost of a stubby. Us alcoholics are easily bribed.
we wont be "attacking" the little van for a few weeks . i have got a few vint bike rallies to attend during june. Will start a Teardrop thread once demolition is under way and reconstruction commences. in the mean time Bill is dreamin of a colour scheme.
