G'day folks, I Just received these photos from a cousin of a trip he did in 1967 and I was surprised to see his van was the same style, only longer, as one I restored and sold back in October 2004. A few other people on this forum have the same, or similar van, but I don’t think the make of it has yet been identified...it must have been popular at the time and it seems as though many of them have survived. If you are one who has a similar van can you post a link to yours here so we can compare them? Cobber.

Here is the other side ;D note the roof line over the side and end windows are the same as yours. The wheel arch shape has been altered for the spats. I refer to it as a gypsy van - but i dont really know what it is

Non goer for me Will . Doesn't seem to sit properly around that bottom raised moulding. Don't mind the shape ,though.
Cheers , Clyde.

Hey earlee, Your van originally had the coupling that started the thread “old tow couplings” didn't it vintagecaravans.proboards30.com/index.cgi?board=technicalstuffboard&action=display&thread=1130624684&page=1The van I sold still had that type of coupling when it went, so that might have been the standard fitting at the time they were made (it is still on “free to a good home” # 1 ). That type of coupling is not a good idea, so it could be an indicator as to the age of the van if we could find out a bit more about the coupling eh? How about an update in the thread “earlee’s find” mate ;D Cobber.

gidday Firefighter and sutcac the spats will be black same as betty and to match the black line down the side they will be fitted with a small u mould and bolted with 3 cuphead bolts painted black in that photo the spats were just being held by the clipping system provided for the F C with a bit of shaping they will sit flat Will
